Our "Why?"

Dee Dee's was created by Desiree. After working a typical 7am-6pm job for a few years, Desiree experienced burn out and wanted to do something different. After coming to this realization, Desiree discovered an interest in self-employment. Being her own boss, making her own schedule, and focusing on what mattered to her became the goal. Desiree focused on creating this business in her free time outside of work. After months of burn out, Desiree was let go from her job. She decided to take this opportunity to focus on the business full time and make this her main priority.
Desiree is the oldest of four siblings. This website and the creativity to create products at home is dedicated to Desiree's little sister, Izzy. At the age of 13, Desiree became a big sister again. Because of the age difference between Desiree and Izzy, Desiree often babysat for her parents. Babysitting Izzy meant having to come up with activities to entertain her. Often times, Desiree and Izzy would spend the time painting, hot gluing pom poms together to make animals, and making cloud sand. This website is named Dee Dee's, because Izzy has always called Desiree "Dee Dee." The goal in starting this small business is to eventually have a physical store that Izzy can come visit Dee Dee in.
